Florian Hardeveld, MD, PhD; works as psychiatrist at the Pro Persona Expertise Centre for Depression. He received his PhD in 2015 for his thesis on the ‘Recurrence of major depressive disorder’.
Nessa Ikani, PhD;
Julie Krans, PhD; is a Senior Researcher at Pro Persona, an assistant professor with the Radboud University's Clinical Psychology Department, a guest researcher at the Behavioural Science Institute, and an assistant professor with the KU Leuven. Her research areas are in: autobiographical memory, mental imagery, PTSD, social anxiety, and depression.
Prof. Jan Spijker; holds an endowed chair in Chronic Depression with the Radboud University. He heads the Depression Care Programme and works as a psychiatrist at the Pro Persona Expertise Centre for Depression.
Janna Vrijsen, PhD; is a behavioral scientist and works as an Assistant Professor/Senior Researcher at the Pro Persona Depression Expertise Centre and at the Psychiatry Department of the Radboudumc. She is affiliated to the Donders Institute and the Behavioural Science Institute. Her expertise is in the field of (the change of) cognitive processes in depression. Her research areas are: cognitive processes in depression, environmental factors, change of cognitive biases (cognitive bias modification), memory, movement/physical activity, psyche-soma interaction, and E-health.
Medior researchers
Mira Cladder–Micus, PhD.; works as a researcher and as psychologist at the Pro Persona's Depression Expertise Centre. She is also affiliated to the Behavioural Science Institute (Radboud University) and the Radboud Center for Mindfulness (Radboudumc). Her research mainly focuses on the effectiveness and working mechanisms of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) for chronic, treatment-resistant depression.
Junior researchers
Frank Don, PhD; is a psychotherapist with Pro Persona and is currently conducting research into the ‘Limiting factors for the use of CBT for depression’.
Noortje Janssen, MSc; is conducting her PhD research at the Radboud University’s Clinical Psychology department and Radboud UMC’s Primary and Community Care department, investigating behavioural activation therapy for depressed older adults in primary care.
Amras van Opdorp, MSc; has been a faculty member with Radboud University’s Clinical Psychology department since 2009. He also is a researcher with Pro Persona, investigating cognitive biases in depression.
Denise te Paste, MSc; is a junior researcher with Pro Persona. Her PhD research is aimed at the (cost-) effectiveness of a low-threshold computer-based intervention for people with a depressive disorder.
Dorien Smit, MSc; is a junior researcher with the Pro Persona Research mood disorder division and works as an external PhD student at Radboud University Nijmegen. Her research is about self-management, experiential knowledge and experiential expertise of people suffering from depression. The study is conducted in corporation with the Dutch Depression Association. In June 2019, the online community ‘Depression Connect’ was launched, where people with depression and their relatives can exchange experiential knowledge about living with depression.
Maringa Zoun, MSc; is a nursing specialist with Pro Persona and participant in the ZemCAD project where she researches the effectiveness of the ‘rehabilitation by self-management in chronic anxiety and depression’ module.
