Post-graduate Health Psychology programme
NijCa²re contributes to several post-graduate psychology programmes provided by Stichting Psychologische vervolg Opleidingen Nijmegen or SPON. SPON is a regional professional training institute located at the Radboud University campus in Nijmegen and affiliated with the Radboud Centre for Social Sciences (RCSW) where psychology graduates (MSc) are educated and trained as health psychologists, psychotherapists and clinical psychologists.
SPON commissions over 200 experienced and dedicated professionals specialising in mental healthcare and academic teaching, several of whom are also involved in research. Among them are various NijCa²re members who contribute to SPON as assistant or associate professors and heads of training programmes. SPON also collaborates closely with clinical treatment facilities, such as the Expertise Centre for Anxiety, OCD and PTSD, the Depression Expertise Centre and the Ambulatorium, RCSW’soutpatient treatment clinic, that offer approved professional training positions for psychology graduates.
Members of NijCa²re additionally provide classes in accreditation and (re)licensure/certification training courses, for instance as part of the post-graduate cognitive-behavioural therapy programme provided by the VGCT, the Netherlands Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapy.
